We went to Dland on Saturday with Toby, Grase, Sofia, and Daniel and Amy (who were visiting from Germany) Sofia had the cutest Minnie dress on that Grase's mom made her. We had fun of course. There were alot of people there but we still had fun.

Family Dland Day!

On Sunday December 6th we had our Caringella/King Family day at Dland. We had bought my parents tickets and a night in a hotel room for their anniversary this year. Everyone was there except Toby, Grase and Sofia. Toby is really sick. :( We had so much fun. One of the highlights of the day was when my mom convinced my big brother to get his face painted like a pirate. He did it in the beginning of the day so he had it all day. The others were on a ride when me and my mom convinced him to do this. So when they got off the ride they were all suprised to see Jason as a pirate. HA! It was soooo funny. I took pictures on my phone. The rest of the day was great. It got so cold at night. My mom and dad got passes and the rest of our family has passes so now we can all go together whenever we want!! We left around 6:30pm since most of us had to work the next day. A nice suprise was seeing Kris and Erica who joined us for a couple of hours.

Cruise 2009

We just got back from a cruise over the long weekend. We left Thursday and came back Monday. We went to Cabo San Lucas. We were at sea most of the trip, visition Cabo for only one day, Saturday. We had fun of course. This is our third cruise. The last day at sea was very very rocky. It was worse in the rooms. I felt sick this cruise and I did not take any motion sickness meds. Kelly has some so I took some of hers. It was soooooo bad the last day at sea. Anyways here are some pictures from our cruise....enjoy.

Oh the pain....goes on and on

So I have been having more pain lately. It might be because I have been sick and I am coughing a lot causing my muscles to tense. My hips are starting to hurt as well. I hate taking narcotics but my pain doc said to take them if I am in pain. The left side has always been the side that hurts more. My whole abdomen, below my belly button, is like a big bruise. It hurts to the touch and it throbs like a bruise too. I have deep pain in my left lower pelvic area, probably the fact that my ovary is adhered to my colon is the reason for the pain. Especially when I eat greasy food. I have gained weight so I know that is not helping either. It is so hard to lose weight when you are miserable or you are not motivated. I mean I think I weigh more now then I did before i lost a bunch of weight. So sad! :( Depressing :(

Have not posted in awhile

Well I have not posted anything in awhile. We have been really busy these past few weeks. Last weekend was the NAMI walk. We had 13 people on my team. All family. It was a nice day out and we had a good walk. Grase took alot of pictures so hopefully I can get some up when she posts them. Sunday we had our one day assembly but me and Karson were uterlly EXHAUSTED from the walk so we did not make it. On top of that I felt like I was getting sick. This past Wed was Veteran's day and I went to Dland with Erica King, Grase, Sofia, Amy and Quinton. We had fun but I still felt as if I was getting sick. Thursday I woke up feeling really sick. I don't have a fever so it is just a cold. It is mostly just a cough and some congestion in my chest, but it still is annoying. Last night, Saturday, we went on a belated dinner for my parents Anniversary. Their anniversary was Novmeber 6th. We went to a German restaurant in Anahiem. We had a good time. We are going on a family Dland day in December for their gift. We also gave them a night in a hotel near dland. We took family portraits about a month ago at Toby and Grase's and that was another gift we gave them. We put the pics in a big frame that said FAMILY. I also made them a DVD of all the pics we took. The pics came out nice and I will post some for you all to see. Today I am at home still sick, I have to rest up for the work week ahead. Next weekend we are planning to go to San Diego to go to the Zoo with Kris, Erica, Toby, Grase and Sofia. It will be fun, she loves animals. She has started to point at everything that interests her. She also is talking more. She says "duck", "yoda" along with mama and dada. She barks like a dog when she hears or sees something she thinks is a dog. She is so interested in everything, she gets into everything. She is crawling and I am sure it won't be long before she walks. She has seven, yes seven, teeth now. She is growing up so fast!!! I love my little niece!!

For those who have not heard our house was broken into and all our game systems, some jewelry and some other stuff was stolen. We are okay and that is the good thing.

Weekend fun

We visited Rosemead this weekend. We got to hang out with family and we even squezed some dland time in too. Here are some pics. FYI Karson just replaced a part that fixed my car!!! Yah!!!

Weekend is over

Well we had a busy weekend. Saturday Karson worked and I cleaned. Toby and Grase came to drop of Sofia and head out to a concert at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney. Sofia was such a good baby! She is so cute.... Toby and Grase got back and spent the night. We went to meeting on Sunday then we went to eat with Jimmy and Kelly at Portillo's. Then we headed to Super Target for a diaper run. We had a jacuzzi night and Toby, Grase, Jimmy and Karson got to soak in the hot tub. Me and Kelly were watching Sofia. I took these pictures of her because she was wearing her Star Wars shirt mommy bought her. Today is a Holiday in the County so I am at home just relaxing and thinking about how nice this weekend was.

This weekend!

Wohoooo! We get to babysit Sofia this weekend! Saturday night Toby and Grase are going to a concert so we get to watch the baby. Then they are staying the night and we get to hang out on Sunday and i have Monday off too!!!! So happy!! I love watching Sofia!!!! Wohooo!

Update

Last weekend we went to Rosemead to visit family. Here is a great picture that Grase got of Karson and Sofia....yes that is Karson's hand. She did this and we all thought it was so cute.

Well this past weekend we really just rested. Friday and Saturday Karson worked so I was just at home cleaning and washing...and resting. Sunday we were not feeling well but managed to get out of the house and go grocery shopping. I even practiced driving stick shift in Karson's car for a little bit. I think I did better than the first time I tried driving a stick shift! I think with practice I can actually do it!! That was about it for our weekend. Next weekend we are babysitting Sofia!! Can't wait!

Back to work :(

So I went back to work on Monday. All was going good until around 4pm...then my body turned on me. I had really bad pain and was exhausted. By the time I got off at 5:30pm I was so tired and grumpy. I don't know what it is about bieng at work. I am only working 8 hours for the first two weeks but I have to work 9am-5:30pm. When I go to my 10 hour days it will be 7am-5:30pm. I don't know how i am going to do it. Even if I did not have pain that would be hard.
So I have been having pain again and I am not sure what is going on now. I just don't know what to do now. Was my surgery for nothing? Oh well I guess I can't complain, at least I had a few weeks of low pain. Me and Karson are going to try to eat healthier and excercise more so maybe that will help.

Time at home running out!

Well I only have about a week and a half before I head back to work. I go back September 28th. The time flew by quickly. I went to see my surgeon for a follow up on Monday. He said everything looked okay. I asked him to put me on a modified schedule when I return to work. For those of you who don't know the County is closed on Fridays now which means I have to work 10 hour days. I think this will be a little too much for me when I first return to work. My doc gave me 2 weeks working only 8 hour days. I think that will help me transition into the 10 hour work week. I am kind of looking forward to going back to work but then again I am afraid. I think I went back to soon during my first surgery and I think all the sitting at work made my adhesions worse. I have to remember to get up a walk a little at least every 2 hours. I am sure my boss is looking foward to me coming back.
Other than that nothing really going on in our lifes. We have not been to disneyland in forever and we miss it. I think I can do it with a lot of resting but really I have been doing really good with the pain. I just feel sore so far. None of the old pain has come back so far. I am starting to go down slowly on my nerve pain pills to see if I reall need them anymore. I think all of my pain was caused by adhesions because my surgeon found so much in there! I feel so much better but I don't want to get too excited yet. Most of my other pain didn't really start last time until maybe 2 months after my surgery...so only time will tell. I am hopeful. I am so eager to start living my life again. I want to lose wieght and be healthy, I want to be active, I want to start getting out on service more, I want to be normal again. So far so good......I just pray this lasts.

It has been three weeks today since my surgery. I have been doing really well. I went to meeting on Sunday and it went ok. I go back to work Setptember 27th. It seems so far away right now but it will be here in no time. It's pretty boring at home by myself. I have been watching Lost from the first season. I am on the third season and probably will finish that today. I am going to go out to walk since I did nothing yesterday, probably to the mall or something. It is so hot outside and my car doesn't have air conditioning but I have to walk. I would rather walk at the mall than outside!! Well that is about it for now. There is nothing else going on right now so I guess thats it.

Update

Well it has been two weeks since my surgery. I am feeling a whole lot better than the first week. Still have pain and I have to take it easy so I can heal properly. Below find some pics from when Grase came to visit me and I got to feed the baby.

Surgery

So here is what happened when I went in for an Outpatient Surgery on Tuesday morning: My Doc put a camera through my belly button and was suprised to find tons of adhesions. Since he couldnt see very well he had to do the full incision (laparatomy, same as last surgery). I woke up in the recovery room and right away felt pain in my pelvic area. I reached down and felt and to my suprise I had a bandage...thats when I knew they did the full incision. The first thing I asked when I woke up was "did they take my ovary?" The nurse replied with a no and I said "thank God". After that I was in a lot of pain due to the fact they did not have me on morphine for some reason. I finally got it along with a abdominal binder (girdle) and I felt better. Since there were no rooms available in the hospital I was in the recovery room for hours. Finally I asked to see Karson and I found out what truly happened to me. Karson told me the part about having to open me up because of adhesions. I was suprised to find that I had no cyst in my remaining ovary, which was the whole reason I had the surgery. They did find loads of adhesions. Additionally my ovary is stuck to my sigmoid colon (the last part of the colon) and they left it because they would have to either remove it completly or possibly nick a blood vessel. So my Doctor removed alot of adhesions. I mean it was thick in there! I felt very vindicated since I suspected adhesions from the very beginning of my pain. I just hope they don't come back. Thats the bad part, there is always the chance they will come back. They did put a mesh over everything to try to prevent more adhesions from forming.
I got home from the hospital today. I did not have much pain while in the hospital probably due to the fact I am on some pills that block the pain. I will be off for six weeks maybe more if my Doctor feels I need it. My mom and little brother are staying with me for another week. My mom is a big help. I do have two extra incisions, one in my belly button and one about a few inches from my belly button from where they tried to do the surgery the laparascopic way. So far everyone is suprised how I am this time. Thats what happens when you take nerve blocking pills!!!
Anyways I can't sit very long so I got to go back to bed. Thanks for all the prayers. Thanks to Erica King who came all the way down from San Diego to stay a few days for my surgery. Thanks to Jim who was there as the Hospital Liason member to explain all the blood issues. Thanks to Cheri who was also there during my surgery. Thanks to all my brothers, who all called me by the way. Thanks to Grase who was the FIRST to call after my surgery was over. Thanks to my dad who came later the day of my surgery. Thanks to Keri who was my support, I know will always be, before, during and after my surgery. Thanks to my mom and Quint for staying with us to help out!

Only hours left until my surgery. My surgery is tomorrow. My check in time is 5:30am at the Riverside Kaiser Hospital. Hopefully all goes well and I will be home Tuesday night. Thanks for all your support and prayers.

Ahhh its getting closer and closer

For those who don't already know, I am going to have surgery on August 11th at the Riverside Kaiser. I am sure it will be early in the morning but I won't know until the day before the surgery. I am having a laparoscopic Surgery (small incisions on my belly) to remove a dermoid cyst on my remaining ovary. It is an outpatient procedure and unless there are complications I should be going home the same day. I should be off of work for about 2-3 weeks.
