San Diego Weekend

Over the past long weekend we went to visit Kris and Erica in San Diego. Tobi, Grase and the babies went also. We went out there Thursday night. Now Kris and Erica only have one extra room so Tobi, Grase and the baby slept in there. Me and Sofi slept on an air mattress in the living room and poor Karson slept on their couch. Friday we went to Sea Port Village Sofia had fun chasing around the pigeons. Friday nigth we had a special girl's night out. Me Erica and Grase (yes without the kids)went out to a nice little place called Starlite. We had a drink (not Grase!) and really really good food. We enjoyed our night out. Saturday we went to the San Diego Zoo which Sofia loved! She liked the flamingo's and she loved the monkeys. She will still talk about those monkeys! She was scared by the Gorilla because it was big and it came running up to the glass and hit it while we were near it. She got really scared. I got a little scared myself. Sunday we were suprising Tobi with a trip to Legoland. Erica found some cheap tickets on Craigs list so we all got to go. Tobi was suprised. He was asleep the whole time we drove up to legoland, while we were paying for parking and when we parked. He thought we were at a park. Finally he saw a sign. He was suprised. Legoland was suprisingly fun. Sofia was skeptical at first but after awhile she loved it. She rode some rides and even said "mas" to most of them. It is rare when she wants to ride a ride again. She really loved this little train and she went on it three times! We even got to ride a roller coaster. We finished off the night at the Karl Strauss brewery/eatery. We really had a great time! Sunday night Tobi and Grase spent the night at our house. Then Monday morning Karson woke up Tobi really early (well early for him, 8:30) and said he was taking him somewhere and it was a suprise. Me and Grase had no clue what was going on. Well Grase kind of had suspicions because it was their dating anniversary and she was thinking maybe tobi was getting her something. Of course Grase had already bought his present and was waiting to give it to him. Well the boys took forever and they finally came back. Tobi was wearing this batman beanie and he was saying "do you like my new beanie?" He said "I got it for free, that is where we went". So we ate the food they brought back for us and I think Grase was a liitle mad that they took forever. Tobi and Grase were supose to go see Tron together so she wanted to get going. Well then Tobi said "hey Karson do you have that audio book you got from Kris?" Karson said "yes it is on my thumb drive in my jacket" Tobi said "Grase can you get the thumb drive in Karson's jacket?" She was standing right by his jacket so she was looking for it. Karson told her it was in his sleeve pocket. She couldn't find it and she said something like let me bring it to you to find it but Karson said no it is in my sleeve. Finally Grase found something but it wasn't a thumb drive. It was a Harajuku bag! She was soooo suprised and it was the bag she wanted too. Then Tobi said "see if your laptop fits" so she opened it and guess what? another suprise a little red box was inside and it was blue saphire earrings and a necklace. She was so suprised. So Tobi went to brush his teeth and Grase was like "where should I put his gift?" First she put it in the cabinet but then Karson said Tobi said he was originally going to do this so I told Grase to put it in the bag he got the toothpaste from. So she ran and put it there. Tobi came out and she said "put the toothpaste back" He said "where does it go?" she said "in the bag" "where" he said, "in the room" So finally he put it back and came back empty handed. Grase was confused but Tobi had this look on his face and he said "there is a present in there" So finally he got the present and he already knew what it was because he has been asking for an IPOD forever. So he finally opened it and saw that she had it engraved. It was nice to watch them exchange gifts. Then they got ready and went to see Tron. They got a little lost going to Corona so they had to see a later showing in 3D. Well we went to meet Megan to eat Indian food in Corona at a place called Mantra. Karson did not want to go so I had the two little ones and drove out there to meet them for dinner. It was really good. Then they came back to our house and packed up and went over to Jimmy's for a little bit. I think we all had fun this past weekend! Having two little ones is hard but with so many helping hands it is better. Enjoy some of my pics from the weekend!

Jude and Sofia

I went to visit my mom and got to visit with Sofia and Jude last Friday. Me and my mom took Sofia to lunch and then back to my mom's house. We had fun of course. I got to spend some time with Toby and Grase and the kids that night too. It is so nice to visit with them. Jude looks bigger and he is now 9lbs! He is growing at a good pace. I took these pictures of them while I was there. Enjoy!

Busy...busy...busy

So we have been busy these past few weeks. I am happy to report I have visited with Sofia and Jude almost every week or every other week during the month of November. In fact since Jude has been born I have spent alot of quality time with him and Sofia. I love spending time with them as well as with Tobi and Grase. I get to help them either with the babies or with helping them get stuff done around the house. They came out to visit us on November 11th, 12th then on Nov. 24-26th. Jude spent the night at our house with mom and dad when he was only just over a month old! That is a record! They did not come to spend the night with Sofia until she was 3 months old! We had so much fun while they were here. Mostly we just hang out since two little ones take up so much effort but we got to hang out with Jimmy and Tobi even got to have a little sleep over at Jimmy's one night. He said he had not spent the night alone at someone's house in a very very long time! Of course he spent the night playing Manopoly with Jimmy until the wee hours of the morning! Those guys!!! I am glad I get to help Tobi and Grase with the kids. I take my Auntie job seriously. Sofia calls me Auntie and I love it! She yells it all the time. AUNTIE! I say what baby and she just yells it again until she communicates what she wants to me. She is in a phase where she yells MOM! AUNTIE! DADDY! and NO! alot. When she says no it is like NOOOOOOO! All drawn out. It is cute but at the same time it can really wear on you. I can't wait until Jude starts to baby talk. He says agoo sometimes. He smiles alot in his sleep and sometimes when you are looking at him. I think he is going to be a happy baby like Sofia. It is hard to have a nick name for him since Jude is so short already. I know Tobi and Grase will think of one!! It really has been a busy two months since right before Jude was born until now. I am going to try and slow it down a bit by probably going to see the kids every other Friday that way we have the weekend to do Service and go to our meeting and hang out with our friends. I think Chris and Connie are visiting Moval this weekend so it will be nice to see them!
It definitly is harder with two babies in the house. I don't know how my friends Kelsey and Nathaniel can do it with 4! I get tired just looking after the 2 for a little while. Kelsey and Nathaniel are great parents and they have 4 great kids too! Tobi and Grase are getting the hang of it and I know when number 3 comes it will all be smooth sailing!
Well I guess that is all for now!

Here is a pic of Sofia when we went to Dland the Sat right before Jude arrived! She is holding my finger. She is so cute!Connie took this picture and I stole it from her facebook page!

Phantom!

We went to go see the Phantom of the Opera on October 29th. It was so awesome! We loved it. Below is a picture of us all dressed up for the Phantom. Sofia snuck in the picture...she is so cute! It is suppose to be the last time Phantom comes to L.A. but who knows. We loved it though!

Jude Stephen Vicente Caringella

Introducing Jude Stephen Vicente Caringella! My new nephew was born October 12th at 11:05pm. I got a call from Grase on Monday Oct 11th around 3:00pm. I was off due to teh Columbus day Holiday(hey I work for the county!)and I had just got out of the Dentist. I just found out I needed a root canal and they asked "would you like to do it today?" I said no, good thing I did!! I rushed home grabbed some clothes for Karson (he was heading out after he got off of work at 4pm) and then I was on my way. Karson actually beat me to Tobi and Grase's house! Hey my car can only go 65 miles per hour!! Well Tobi, Sofia me and Karson headed to the hospital around 7pm. We stayed until around 10:30pm. Me and Karson took Sofia back to Tobi and Grase's and slept for the night. The next day we headed to the hospital around noon. Still no progress so we hung out there for awhile. We went home around 6 or 7. We went to walmart for some groceries and got dinner. Tobi called me and updatd me on the progress and let me know he would call if anything happened. Sofia and Karson were sleeping and I was about to fall asleep when I got the call around 11:20pm. She had the baby!!! Tobi said we could come then or the next morning. Well we decided to head straight to the hospital so Karson could see the baby and then head home because he had to work on Wed. So me, karson, sofia(sleeping), and Jason all went to the hospital. We got to hold Jude for the first time! Sofia woke up and was a little moody and got jelous when I was holding Jude. Well we all left since it was the middle of the night and we wanted Tobi, Grase and Jude to get some sleep! Jason was kind enough to stay with me at Tobi and Grase's since I hate bieng alone! The next day me, Sofia and Jason went to the hospital around noon and got to visit some more with Jude. We left for a couple of hours then me and Sofia went back that evening. My mom, dad and Quint were there to visit that night. Jason stayed with me again that night. The next day Grase was going to be released so me and Sofia headed over there around 11:30am. Turns out we did not get out of the hospital until around 4:30pm!! They came and took pictures of Jude and they were so cute! I snuck the above picture while the photographer was fixing her camera. We went home and Chris, Connie, and Jimmy were there waiting for us. They got to visit with Jude. Then my mom, dad, quint and Amy came over and brought dinner. Jason and Grase's mom came over too. Later that night Kenny came by to visit Jude. Friday night we watched Iron Man 2 and it took us 5 hours because we kept having to puase it for Sofia and Jude. On Sat Grase's mom and dad came by to visit Jude. Then my mom and dad came. Then later Jason, Chris, Connie, Karson, Callie, Jimmy, and Kenny came over. Jason brought Grase sweet potato fries and also bought us pizza. He also brought wine and sparkling wine from a winery he services. It was good!! Sunday me and Grase gave baby his first sponge bath! Karson, Jimmy and Callie spent the night so we all hung out on Sunday.
During the whole week I spent most of my time with Sofia and it was a challenge but it was also great. She calls me "auntie" and it sounds so cute when she says it. Especially when she yells it from another room!! I changed so many diapers, Sofia's and Jude's! I got to hold and care for Jude alot! Sofia wanted mommy alot so I got to help by taking Jude and caring for him. Sofia loves kissing Jude. She also strokes him and says "baby". She is so cute! It is going to be hard but I know she will eventually adjust to his arrival. When it came time for me to leave I almost cried. I mean I was there for almost a week! I really enjoyed it. It was nice to be able to help Tobi and Grase and I got to spend time with Sofia and Jude! I loved it! Now I have a nephew and a niece!! I am so happy to be an aunt of 2!!! Can't wait to see Jude grow as I have watched Sofia grow.

2 weeks until Grase is due! My nephew can come at anytime. We are hoping for 10-10-10, I mean how cool would that be!! Well I think he will come on the 13th. Sofia was late so I think newB will be early or right on time. They did pick a name but I won't post it until they have posted it on their blog or online. :)

NewB is almost here!!

My new nephew is almost here!! I am so excited to meet my new little nephew. No name for him yet so we call him NewB (newbie). Grase is has less than 4 weeks to go until her due date. Basically in a week NewB can be here any day. I am on baby stand by. Need to pack my bag because it can happen at any moment. Since we are the farthest away we are promised to be the first to be called so we can make the 50 minute drive to Glendale where the hospital is located. Last time we spent awhile but it was well worth the wait. We got to hold Sofia when she was only minutes old. I also got to help take care of her the first couple of days. This weekend is Grase's congergation baby shower. I am so excited...can you tell?

Working 8 hours...ahhhh

So my disability accomadation request went through and now I am only working 8 hours a day starting today. I am so happy. It is so much easier to function when I am working 8 hours a day.

Working 10 hours a day sucks!

Sure anyone else would love my 4/10 schedule. Working 4 days for 10 hours with every Friday off sounds great right? WRONG!! I work 7:30am-6pm! 6PM!!!! I get home around 6:20pm. If you thought getting to meeting was hard think about if you got home at that time! It is so exhausting that I have been knocking out around 8:30-9pm during the week. I take my pills at 5pm and I am still at work!!! This past week I made it all 4 days without bieng late or leaving early and I am telling you I am exhausted. People say but you get Fridays off!! You know what my Friday's are? Busy Busy Busy. Doc appts, picking up meds, grocery shopping or visiting family. Sat and Sunday? Busy Busy Busy! So much going on. This month is almost over already. Thankfully me Erica King and Keri are planning a spa day on Friday the 30th. I sure need it!!! In August we are a little less busy but still busy.
Where has the time gone? Grase is already 6 months pregnant! She is due in 95 days!!! ahhh! The time flies!! In all these busy plans I try in get in my Sofia time as much as possible. She is growing up soooo fast. I have to be a part of it. Soon Jude (the name I have picked for the newbie) will be here and it will get even crazier! Boy Sofia is a handful, now there will be two!! I need to lose weight! STAT! I must keep up with my niece and nephew!!! I have to!
My pain has been ok as long as I take my pills and wear my girdle every day. I also have to get up and walk a bit during the day. It is getting way too hot to walk outside so I think me and Karson are going to join L.A. Fitness, the county gives a great deal we can't pass up with no contracts.

So this weekend the plan is Friday I am suppose to go and pick up AC units from Chris and Connie's house. Sat clean house, Toby and Grase are coming to spend the night because the Stone Soar Fest is Sunday. Me, Grase and the baby get to hang out on Sunday. Maybe we will go swimming at Kelly's parents house! We will see.
So busy! Well that is all for now.

San Fransisco

We had so much fun in San Francisco this past weekend. Me and Karson flew out of the Ontario airport to Oakland Thursday night at 8:50pm. We arrived at the Oakland airport around 10pm. This was my very first flight ever. I know I am lame. It was fun. It did not last long but at least I got to experience it. We packed light so we each carried on a small suitcase so we did not need to check any baggage. Toby and Grase picked us up from the airport and we headed to San Francisco to our hotel. We shared a hotel room. There was a lot of snoring but I think the beds were really comfy so I did not mind (yah I was one of the ones snoring, i think Grase was the only one who doesn't snore!)It gave us a taste of what every night is like for Toby and Grase. Sofia woke up one night in the middle of the night and she would not go back to sleep. I tried to help but she wanted mommy. I don't know how Grase does it!!! The first day, Friday, we had already bought tickets for Alcatraz for the 1:45pm tour. We headed out to find parking down by the pier we were leaving from. We did some driving before we found the cheapest parking (15.00) Then we headed to the pier. We go there just in time to line up and we were pretty close to the front so we got good seats in the ferry that took us over to Alcatraz. The ride was like 5 minutes! Alcatraz is not that far from San Fran. On the boat we ate some snacks. They had the best cheese stuffed pretzels!! We arrived at Alcatraz and listened to the welcome from the Ranger. Then we headed up the steep hills to the top of Alcatraz, since that is where the main prison is located. We took some great pictures on the way up there. We got to the top and we started our audio tour. Sofia did pretty good considering we were all busy listening to our audio tour. The tour was really good. We took some pictures outside with the view of San Francisco behind us. It is amazing to hear the history of the prison. We finished up the tour and spent some time in the store before heading down the hill to ride the ferry back to land. After Alcatraz we walked over to Fisherman's Wharf which was really close. We stopped at a few stores before getting to the end of the wharf and eating at a nice restaurant that overlooked the ocean and Alcatraz. We had a nice dinner there. Very good seafood!! Toby ate oysters!! I had salmon!! Karson had a variety of seafood! Grase had...salad. :) After we ate we sent the boys to get the car while me and Grase stopped at a few more stores. It was freezing! We watched some sea lions for a bit but it was so cold!!! We moved on to more stores. We were watching in amazment as a guy made a bannana, nutella crepe when Toby called and said they were there to pick us up. The crepe looked so good!! Well we were back in the car, at this point I would like to tell you that Karson drove the whole time we were in San Fran and Grase navigated for him. So Toby has had very bad allergies and Grase had found out, through her connections, that Allegra D would really help him so we had to find a pharmacy to get it. Well by then, 9pm, most pharmacies were closed. Grase found a 24 hour pharmacy and we headed to it. It was located right in the center of rainbow town, if you know what I mean. So poor Toby got dropped off at a corner full of guys and went in the Walgreens by himself. We picked him up about 10 min later. He got in the car and was traumatized....:) It was an experience!! Finally we got back to the hotel. Toby took his medicine and he slept better and felt better!! The next day we got up and headed out and our first stop was to see the Golden Gate Bridge. So we stopped and took pictures. Then we all piled back in the car and headed to Chinatown. What a drive!! Up and down, up and down. The view was great but it sure was a different kind of city. Toby really did not like the up and down streets and we finally got to chinatown. We again had to find parking and it took awhile but we finally found some. We ate in Chinatown at this nice chinese restaurant, very good food. We then walked and went in many stores. We finally left when it was getting too cold! We then headed to the Rouge brewery/restaurant. Of course we again had to try and find the best priced parking. We finally found some. Rogue was located right in Little Italy. We had some good cheese and crackers with different beers. My favorite was a pomegranate cider, it was sooo good. We then walked a little in Little Italy. We found a great little pastry place and got some dessert. It was soooo good. We then headed back to the car. I have to mention that the whole point of this trip was so that Toby and Grase could go out to dinner by themselves (Sat was their actual anniversary) and we would watch Sofia. Well they ended up spending it with us and they were happy we were there. I really enjoyed it! We went back to the hotel and went to bed for our last night in San Fran. We woke up and got ready and left the hotel around 11am. We drove over the Golden Gate Bridge and took some pictures. Then we got on the road to head home. We got a little taste of what Toby and Grase had experienced over the past 7 days before we met up with them. We stopped every 2 hours to stretch and change Sofia. We stopped for lunch too. Sofia had about enough during our 7th hour driving. She finally fell asleep. We got to our house around 8:30pm. Toby and Grase left around 9:30pm from our house. We finally went to bed around 11pm.
The trip was so much fun!! I really liked vacationing with Toby, Grase and Sofia. Sofia made it a challenge but with more hands it was easier. Wait until they have newbie!! Vacationing with two little ones will be even more challenging!!!
Well I hope you enjoy some of the pictures below. Thanks for reading!

Update

So I have not updated the Blog for awhile. So here what has been going on. We had an anniverary dinner for Tobi and Grase on June 5th, it was Wizard of Oz themed. It went really well. We had the yearly Turner/King family reunion yesterday. Next weekend we are going to San Fransisco next week. We are leaving late Thursday night. We are meeting Tobi and Grase up there and then we are driving back with them on Sunday. The next weekend we have our District assembly. In August Karson is doing the Beer trip with my brothers and friends. We are going camping in September. So busy.
So the County has decided to do 4/10's for most of the County offices. I have been on modified duty of only 8 hour days but that ends at the end of June. I thought the County would go back to be opened 5 days but I was wrong. So now I put paperwork through to get my chronic pain as a disablility so they can accomadate me because I CAN NOT work 10 hours. It is very painful and and exhausting for me. Yah it would be a dream schedule if I did not have pain. At least I still get Fridays off.
We recently had our Circuit Assembly. It was so encouraging! I am so excited to go to the District for some more spiritual food.
I has started to get hot but not up to 100 yet. Oh it will come! Summer is the worst thing about living in Riverside County. It is hot!!!!!
Well that is about all that has been going on. We continue to be busy and when we get a rest it is nice. We are looking foward to our well needed vacation to San Fran coming up this week! Here are some pictures from the anniversary dinner we gave Tobi and Grase.

Busy Busy Busy

We have been so busy this month!! We have had busy weekends for like two months straight! This last weekend Tobi and Grase came to visit for a Lost marathon! They needed to catch up on season 6 so we tried to get them caught up. Of course they didn't finish but came close! Just 5 episodes to go, oh wait 6 now that one aired on Tuesday. Can't believe Lost is going to end on Sunday!!! We have a wedding on Sunday but should be home in time for the last Lost episode!!
In other news my pain seems to be getting worse and I have no idea why. It seems it is always changing. One pain goes away and another one appears! It is so exhausting. On top of that I have a new boss, my old one got a promotion, and I have to start all over with the new one. Also the county might be having everyone do a 4/10 (10 hour days M-Th) for the new fiscal year (July 2010) I can't do 10 hour days!!! I am on a modified schedule (8 hours M-Th) but it ends June 30th. If they keep the 10 hour days I don't know what I am going to do. Sure anyone else would love this schedule but i just can't do it with my chronic pain. I miss more days, come in late or leave early when I am on the 10 hour days. Since my FMLA (family medical leave act) probably will run out in a couple of months there is no way I can get away with missing so many days and hours without getting in trouble, or even losing my job. What can I do? Pray, I just have to pray they don't do the 4/10 schedule.
Karson has been working M-Friday so that is good. At least we have one of us working full time! I am so excited to be getting another niece or a nephew!! I am trying to spend as much time with Sofia and I will definitly be spending the first few days with them after the new baby comes. I did this with Sofia and I think that is why Sofia and i have a special bond. She gets so excited when she sees me, I love it!!! I want a nephew eventually but another niece will be fine for me!! I did not have sisters growing up so it would be nice for Sofia to have a little sister!
We have Tobi and Grace's anniversary dinner on June 5th and we find out the sex of the new baby on that day. I can't wait!!!!!
Well that is all for now!!!

Update

So we have just been trying to get our house set up this past month. We have so much stuff to still move in from the garage but we got the most important items in the house.
In other news I have lost a total of 12.2 lbs so far on my new diet. I had a bad week about two weeks ago but I got back on track. I also got on FMLA, Family Medical Leave Act, which protects my job due to absences. My doctor requested for me to work 8 hour days instead of 10 for a month to see if it helps my pain. I started my 8-4:30pm schedule on Monday 3/22/10. I already feel better!! It is a good thing the law protects my job because I have missed alot of work due to my chronic pain over the past two years. No doubt I would have been fired if I didn't work in the County.
Me and Karson are still off on Fridays and we are taking advantage of it by getting stuff done around the house and doing errands.
Well that is all for now. Not much going on. Our friend Stephanie is getting married in May so hopefully I will have lost 20lbs by then so I can fit into some of my nicer dresses for her wedding.

Moving!!!

So our carpet is getting installed today!!! So happy!! We are moving this weekend!!! Finally back into our own house, and back on the computer!! Man I have gotten behind on Facebook and the Blog!!! I have pictures to post from Dland trip with Toby, Grase and Sofia. I have anniversary dinner pictures to post too!!! Can't wait to get settled in the new house. It is going to look great with new carpet and all the new paint!!! Hopefully everyone will come visit our new little house!!

In other news I started weight watchers again, yes again. This time I had to be serious. With all my "digestive" problems I needed some drastic change. For those who don't know I have adhesion's on my colon that they did not remove and this is causing PAIN when my food is digesting. So I cut out dairy, gluten, processed sugar, and beef. The first week was hard but soooo worth it! I lost 7.8lbs in the first week!!! I feel 80% better! I say 80% because i still have minor problems with digesting/gas and I still have the nerve damage pain. My pain has improved for the better. You can't even imagine how much pain your colon can cause you!!! I am walking a little every day and going to Physical Therapy every other week and that is helping too. I mean my sister in law Keri has lost over 50lbs doing this same diet plan. It is easy when you have someone to help guide you through what "alternatives" you can have. You may think "how can you do it without eating bread/gluten?" Well gluten is only found in white or wheat flour so I can have all the other flours like Rice flour. You would be surprised how many items you can buy that are gluten free. Me and Keri have gluten free waffles with real fruit spread for dessert almost every night. It is just sweet enough to hit the spot. We have also had gluten free pizza. How? We get gluten free pizza shells then add garlic, goat cheese (we only eat goat cheese), chicken, onions and other veggies. We even had a bbq chicken pizza with sugar free bbq sauce. It is soooo good. Better even then the old pizza i use to eat. I mean we are eating healthy and that is always going to be a challenge in this "fast food" world we live in. It takes time and effort but believe me it is worth it! Your body will thank you and everyone else will notice how good you feel and look!!!!

Moving...ahhh

Well it has been awhile. Why you may ask? Well we have been busy that is why!! We moved out of our house on Jan 30-31st then went on a mini vacation. Then the rest of the first week in Feb we, mostly Karson and his mom, have been finishing painting our house. Now we need to put the carpet in. When we are done with all these touch ups we can move into our new house. All our stuff is currently sitting in the garage connected to the house. We are staying with the King's until our house is ready. I have to say I am enjoying it. I don't have to cook and I am living with one of my closest friends, how can that be bad???? Well until we get into our house our computer is not in use. So most of my computer use is at work. So updating the blog and facebook has been put on the back burner. So Sofia got her pictures taken so I have some to share with everyone. She is so cute. I can't believe she is one year old already!!!!!!

I am old

So today I turn 31. How does it feel? Odd. Last year I was a little bummed to be turning 30 this year it is a little odd. It is wierd saying I am 31. I am getting old and I sure can feel it. The past 2 years have been the worst in my life because of all my health issues. I hope the next couple of years gets better. I fell on this past Saturday and it finally hit me Monday night. I woke up in the early morning(3am) on Tuesday and I was in so much pain. I took a Norco and tried to go back to sleep. I made it to work but had to keep taking Norco through out the day. Last night and this morning was rough too. More Norco. I can't take too much because eventually it just makes my pain worse. I hope the fall didn't do permanant damage to my painful areas (my abdomen, hips ann lower back)I am going to see the pain doc next week so lets see what she says. For now I am just going to ponder how old I am.
