Laughter

When I am down and feeling sad I look at these pictures and others and I am glad
I am glad to have a family who cares and takes the time to laugh away their tears
No matter how sad and lonely I feel I can look at my pictures and it helps me deal
I deal with my pain and my sadness too by just simply looking at all of you
Your laughter take it away and I am grateful for the laughs you send my way
We go through so much every day and it only takes one smile to take it away
You might think it strange that I stare but these pictures mean so much more
More than a frozen smile in time more than a laughter captured and stored
It is a precious gift for me ;don't ever stop smiling or laughing and hear my plea
The next time you laugh or smile remember it may live on in pictures, so just smile!

This one is my favorite! Karson looks like he is thinking "oh not another Caringella joke"

Been Awhile

It has been awhile since I posted anything. I have been having some bad days these past few weeks. I was having new pains in addition to my old pain!! I saw my primary Doctor and my OBGYN. My OBGYN thinks my cyst along with scar tissue around my ovary might be contributing to my pain. She thinks surgery to remove the cyst and adhesions is the best thing. She said she was going to consult a few Doctors/Surgeons and get back to me. She told me she has seen patients with cysts smaller than mine that had problems because of the cyst. My cyst is only about the size of a quarter. Of course I have a partial ovary so it is bigger than my ovary at this point. All I know is if I can eliminate some of my pain I am all for it. For the first time in a long time I am a little hopeful. I hope something happens to help me.

This past weekend we went to visit my family in L.A. We stayed with Toby and Grase, as we have done since the baby was born. We went out Thursday night and got to watch the baby Friday all day while mommy and daddy worked. We brought our new Rock Band 2 and Friday and Saturday night it was played for hours. I mostly hang out with the baby while I am out there to get as much Sofia time as possible. You have to remember me and Karson are the only ones that live far away in my immediate family. Sofia is an easy baby to take care of. I can't wait until she gets older when she can call me auntie Dez! The highlight of my weekend? Watching Sofia of course, but after that it was the mad libs me, Grase, and Gracie were playing Friday night. It was so fun! You forget how simple games like that are so much fun!
I want to thank Toby and Grase for giving us their bed on Friday and Saturday night. They said it was because they wanted to keep an eye on Sofia but I think they just did it to be nice to us!!
I love watching Sofia but it is exhausting so on Sunday we decided not to go to Disneyland after all with our friends. All that walking at Dland would just throw me into a lot of pain and I needed some rest to be able to get up and go to work on Monday. We went to see Wolverine when we got back into Moval. It was a really good movie. Karson said the one he saw had a different extra scene after the credits from the one we saw. That is kind of weird. I wonder why they did that.
I did not take many pictures since the last time I posted so enjoy the ones I did manage to take.

Well I have not updated the blog in awhile so I have alot to write about.
The memorial was on the 9th and we had the 8:30 slot that night. It was hard because it was so late so we couldn't go out afterwards. Jim gave the memorial talk and it went well.
On our day off on the 3rd me, Karson, Jason, Callie, Cydnee, Britney all went to Disneland. We had fun of course. We stayed all day which we have not done in awhile. That weekend we also went to visit Tobi and Grase and the baby. We had fun as usual. The weekend of the 10th Chris and Connie came to visit and spent the night with us. We had fun just hanging out in the hot tub. This past weekend we went to San Diego from Thursday night until Sunday night. We went to the Wild animal park. It was so awesome. There are so many animals there. We went on the African Safari tour. We got in free because Karson' bro and siter in law had free passes from when they renewed their pass for both the zoo and animal park. It was alot of walking but it was beautiful out there. It was awesome!
In other news the Chronic Pain clinic finally called to set up my appointment for the Chronic Pain Doctor. I am hopeful they will be able to help me with my pain. I hate having this pain because it prevents me from doing things. I know I have to pace myself but I don't want to and I end up in bed the next day and I miss work. I miss alot of work because of the pain. I guess I want a solution but maybe there just isn't one, and that scares me.
Well that is all for now. I have added some photos from the past few weeks. Enjoy

This weekend went by fast. Saturday morning I was not feeling well so I did not get on service but Karson went out. I was working on my traffic School for like 3 hours! It is so boring, but I did learn things I did not know. Did you know that bieng awake for over 18 hours puts you at risk for driving almost like you were intoxicated? Interesting. Anywho there was an anniversary gathering for Marcel's sister and brother in law but I did not feel like going. I was just bummed and did not want to see anyone. Karson made me get up, take a shower and go. It was a good thing he did that because we ended up having a nice time. Jimmy, Kelly and Marcel and Veronica came over after to attempt to go in the jacuzzi but it was not heating up fast enough so we just told them to come back Sunday night.
Sunday we had meeting then me and Karson went grocery shopping. Before meeting Karson asked if we could start trying Keri's diet again because she has been so successful (she has lost over 40lbs on it). So we cleaned out our cabinets and are trying to eat what we have so we can start our new diet. Basically it is: no dairy, no red meat, no glutten (bread products), and no sugar. Its pretty tough but my sister in law Keri says if you make it through the first two weeks then it will get easier. She is amazing! She looks so good. So we are going to start that new lifestyle change (not a diet) on Thursday.
Sunday evening Jimmy, Kelly, Veronica and Marcel came over. We barbequed some hamburger and hot dogs then everyone, but me and Roni, went in the jacuzzi. You should have seen how much water came out of the tub!! I think it fits 4 people perfectly. We had a fire going outside and me and Roni just stayed by the fire talking. It was a nice evening with close friends. I am so happy Jimmy and Kelly are in our hall now!!!
I took some pictures of them in the spa but I will add them later since I am writing this at work and don't have access to my photos here.
That was our weekend. It goes by soooo quickly!!

Busy Busy Weekend

Me and Karson had this past Friday off so we went to visit my family in L.A. My mom was off too so she was babysitting Sofia at Toby and Grase's house. We got there around noonish. We then went with Jason to the mall to shop for Jason's new cologne. We went to Macy's and we spent some time smelling some colognes. The very first one Jason smelled he accidently inhaled and it got him kind of sick. The best part of the whole trip was when one of the sales men told us that there was a special, if you buy the large Hugo cologne you get a free duffel bag. Jason immediatly said "I hate duffel bags" in a funny angry kind of way. Of course Karson, Jason and I laughed at what he said but for some reason the sales guy did not think it was funny and his face was so serious. After that he pretty much left us alone. I think he got the idea that we were not really interested in buying anything. I think Jason found his next smell in Hugo Boss, elements but he is still thinking about it. We then went to lunch at Marie Calendars which happens to be in the mall we were in. We never go to Marie Calendars out here so it was a nice treat. Then we headed back to Toby and Grases. I spent time with Sofia. Jason and my mom went to pick up Grase from work so I got to babysit while they were gone. After Grase got home we just hung out until Toby got home. Eventually the boys went to get dinner from Jims and a movie. Well we ended up not leaving until 12am!
Saturday we got up and went on Service since we both had plans. Karson went with Jimmy and I was with Veronica. We both ate lunch with our separate partners. Karson ended up helping Jimmy move some furniture so I was at home alone but that was fine because I was suppose to do Traffic School online for my stupid ticket. Well I did about 2 hours of the 8 hour course but my pain was getting worse and worse. I think it was from eating chili cheese fries from Jims. It hurt so bad!! I had to lay down and try to relax my muscles and put heat on my abdomen. I know I have adhesions on my colon and or bowels...I always have pain when I am digesting food in my pelvic area. Anyone who has Irritable Bowel Syndrome would know what kind of pain I have. You would never think that so much pain can come from your bowels...but it can and it does. I ate soup, crackers and Ginger ale for dinner to try and help my digestion.
Sunday we made a nice breakfast together and I was inspired by Grase's pancakes (from the last weekend we were there) so I wanted to make some pancakes. Karson made scrambled eggs. I made some potatoes and we had a nice breakfast. We went to meeting and then we had hospitality afterwards. For those who don't know what hospitality is-it is when a service group takes out or has the speaker over to eat. We had a gathering and Sheri Milligan's (Kelly's mom) house. It was very nice. OH! I forgot to tell everyone that Jimmy and Kelly are officially in our congergation now. We are soooo excited that they decided to join our congergation. The literally live like 5 minutes away from us on the other side of the 60 freeway.
Anyways after the gathering Jimmy, Kelly, Callie, Karson and I headed to the movies. We were joined by Veronica and Marcel. We saw the movie Knowing. It was scary and I did not expect that. I liked it but it was kind of like a Scientology movie..if you know what that means!!
So that is our whole weekend in a nutshell....okay maybe I wrote to many details.
Check out the great picture of me and Sofia at our meeting to the left of the posts. We look so cute!!!

Baby Weekend in Moreno Valley!

This weekend Toby, Grase and Sofia came down for a visit. We were so excited to get a visit from them. On Saturday night we went to one of our favorite places, Jason's Deli. We got there right when it was closing so we didn't get to have the two or three free ice cream cones we were looking forward to but we still chowed down on good food! Toby and Grase both knocked out on the couch around 11pm. It was funny because me and Karson were still up and I had to wake Grase up and she was dead asleep so it took awhile to get her up. They slept on our air mattress in our spare room. They had come fully prepared for the weekend. They brought so much! It was the first time away from home since the baby was born so they brought everything they thought they would need. Sunday we woke up a little early and Grase and Karson went to super Walmart to get some essential baby items that had run out-diapers and wipes. I watched Sofia because Toby was still sleeping! She is easy to watch and I love watching her so it worked out. We went to our meeting where everything said how much Sofia looked like me and my family. Some said Sofia looked like me. The funny thing was me and sofia matched. We both wore pink and brown. It was not on purpose I promise. Sunday after the meeting we had Jimmy, Kelly, Marcel, Veronica, Paul, Kiera and junior over for a barbeque. We had fun of course. We ate carne asada, marinated chicken, Grase's famous cheese enchiladas, rice, beans and tortillas. Everyone loved the food. Then Jimmy wanted to go in the jacuzzi so he went home, he lives close, to get his trunks. He brought an extra pair and convinced Toby, and Karson to go in with him. Grase looked sad and I said "you should go in". She was worried about the baby and of course I volunteered to watch her while Grase relaxed in the jacuzzi. I think it really helped her relax. I know everyone had fun. Toby and Grase packed up and left around 10pm. It took them awhile to pack up all the stuff they brought.
I can't wait for them to come out again. We had so much fun. I am so glad they were able to come out here and relax away from hom. I took some pictures of Sofia watching t.v. and sleeping on my bed when Grase and Karson were at Walmart. She is sooo cute!!!

Update

This past weekend we went to visit my family in Rosemead. We stayed with Toby and Grase. I got to spend a lot of time with the baby. We had fun as usual. The exciting thing is that Toby, Grase and the baby are planning to come out and visit us this coming weekend. I can't wait! I love bieng an Aunt. My neice is so cute.

In other news I went to see the therapist at the Chronic Pain Clinic Monday afternoon. She signed me up for a Group that meets every Thursday night. The group helps you deal with chronic pain and it is where you are set up to see a Doctor in the clinic. I hope this group helps me.

Nothing else really going on in our life. Same old same old. Just trying to live each day as it comes.
