The Getty Museum

This past Saturday we went to the Getty Museum with Jimmy and Megan. Jimmy has never been so we were excited to take him. We took lots of pictures but we got to see alot of art work and other stuff. My favorite was the exhibit on Paris. It was so neat. I also enjoyed the photographs.

We went to a restaurant on the Santa Monica Pier called "The Lobster" We waited an hour for our table but we had some drinks at the bar. It had a great view of the pier and the ocean even though we couldn't see it by the time we sat down to eat. They had very very good food and of course we enjoyed lobster. We even had some bubbly sparkling wine. So good. It was a nice end to a great day. :)

Turtle Incident

I would like to share the "turtle incident" with everyone. It all started when Karson purchased a turtle puppet for Sofia and Jude. When they all visited us I reminded Karson to bring out the turtle. Well he brought it out. Af first Sofia kind of backed away from it slowly. Then Karson used the puppet and had the turtles head come out very slowly. At this point Sofia freaked out. She ran and climbed on the couch and climbed on Tobi's head. She was shaking and crying. Karson put the turtle away and Sofia ran to the other room. She would not return to the living room because she thought the turtle was still there. So Karson made it a point to bring the turtle in the spare room and show Sofia he put the box away in the closet. She was then ok and returned to the living room.
Well she is still afraid of this turtle and when you mention it she gets a look on her face and she says "no". It is very strange how kids can be afraid of one thing and yet not be afraid of another thing. I guess all kids go through this. I am sure when she gets older we can bring out the turtle with no problem! :)

New Diet

Karson and I started a new diet this past Monday. It is the same diet Grase is on and she has lost 40lbs in 4 months! Basically you limit Carbs to lunch and you stay away from Sugar as much as possible. Everything is about portion size as well. Well so far we are doing good. The real test will be on the weekends. We can do it!

Jude's First Dland Trip

Jude's first Dland trip was on Saturday 2/12. We made shirts and everything. We did the same for Sofia's first trip to dland. Sure they are too young to even remember this date it is nice to commemerate the day with a t-shirt. It was fairly packed so we really did not get on many rides. We had fun of course! Sofia went on the Midway Mania (toy story ride at CaliAdventure) for the first time. She wore the 3D glasses the whole time and she just stared at the screens the whole time. She was so cute. At the end she clapped and said "yeahh" then Grase said "do you want to go again" and Sofia said "yes". Sofi also really liked the World of color although we only saw the back side while waiting in line for the Toy story ride. It had alot of songs she knew and the water grabbed her attention. She was also very aware of all the characters that she has seen in the movies she has. She was so happy to have her little friend Leah with her on this trip. They wore princess dresses and everything! It was so cute. Can't wait to go again with Sofia and Jude!!!
